But you're right that some of its game mechanics don't hold up well and anyone who played Skyrim or Oblivion first might not be able to see through the dated mechanics and see just how good the game is. Shivering Isles is a wonderfully mad and varied place, but quests are still mostly fetch this or fetch that, but interesting environment and enemies make up for it.
