I just feel like that invites a lot of conversation and questions, you know, into our marriage and our relationship. Isbell took a stand, even facing backlash from his fellow artists. Well definitely get to your verse, which is the second one. And couple of lessons like that, he pulled out some fiddle tunes that he had been transcribing aurally from Frankie McWhorter. In Portland, he led the band (including his wife on fiddle) through charging, heartfelt songs that often sounded like the cavalry was coming. How did you manage to do that? It's not often in country musicor pop music for that matterin which an artist addresses a very personal and sensitive subject like abortion through a song.
